We now have a realistic way to transition from one scene to a different scene over about 12 inches. Scenes that are already A (CM 158A) and B (CM 158B) are a continuous scene in 2 parts and do not need a transition. This applies to A, B, C for 36 ft , etc. Any two scenes that have different stock numbers (CM 158 A CM 123 A) can be transitioned, note cautions below.
The idea is to have a blending of the two scenes at the transition. We reconstruct the scenes so they blend one into the other, and we can lower the horizon of the highest scene down no more than 25% to match the horizon of the lower scene (we really mean not more than 25% difference in horizon height over 12 inches of matching scenes otherwise we will pull down the higher scene and you may lose off the bottom much of what you thought would be in the scene. Use MOCKUP to check ) . We will match the heights at the expense of the higher horizon. Scenes that are similar and mountains, buildings etc. that are about the same height below the sky line on both scenes, will look the best. We can make a transition from either right or left, and on any size scene. Be sure the transition is not the part of a scene you are discarding. If you are buying a 12 ft scene and trimming off the left side down to 11 ft, don't ask for the transition to be on the left. A 10 ft scene may have a different transition than a 12 ft. Look at our scale vs size page. We can transition several scenes together. Any scene can be reversed (no additional charge) or cut to standard lengths from either side, to give a better match. If there are signs in the reversed scene, they will be desrever (reversed). We encourage you to look at both ends for the best match. The transition is a digital blend of one scene into the other over 12 inches and you lose 12 inches off the scene length. You pick the end to transition into the other scene. Buy all related sections at the same time. We may not be able to match continuation scenes, A & B, or reversals at a later date. On scenes less than 12 ft we cut down from the label end. If you want the other end, you must tell us. Transitions may add a couple days to the estimated print date. The finished transition generally looks better full size than it does here. We cannot give advise on which scenes to transition to another. That is your choice. We do not guarantee any match or horizon height of scenes with different numbers unless we do a transition.
All transitions are $60 regardless of size and scale. Transitions are not refundable.

We chose for our example two scenes that are not a good match. Most transitions look much much better as the examples below show. In this example the sky doesn't match, one is industrial and the other is residential, and the horizon match was fair.
Scene A will have 12 inches of B blended on the right of A to 100% B for the last 4 inches.
The transition section will be only on one scene A or B, in this case A.
We decide if the transition should be on A or B depending on several factors.
The section with the transition remains a standard length (8, 10, 12 ft.).
Bring the two sections together. DONE

|Results may vary due to sky gradients, heights of horizon and scene similarity as the examples above show. Most sky gradients are the same for the same vertical size and location. Later scenes have a sky code E=Eastern, W=Western. Use some care when picking scenes and matching edges. We can lower the horizon on one scene up to 25% to improve the match. Scenes that are close in color and horizon work best, but if you need a steel mill into rugged mts, then that's what you need. Transitions are $60. The transition fee is not refundable if the scene is returned. Only one scene is modified to match the other.|
